Dubai's interiors have always set a high bar — soaring ceilings, sweeping views, and a commitment to materials that feel as considered as the architecture itself. And increasingly, the walls are where that commitment is most visible. Luxury wallpaper has become the signature touch of Dubai's most talked-about interiors, from Palm Jumeirah penthouses to Downtown Dubai hotel suites.
Whether you are outfitting a new villa, refreshing a show apartment, or simply ready to do something meaningful with that dining room wall, this guide walks you through everything you need to know about luxury wallpaper in Dubai — from choosing the right style to understanding installation.
Why Wallpaper Has Replaced Paint in Dubai's Most Design-Forward Homes
For years, paint felt like the sensible choice. Quick, affordable, easy to change. But something shifted. As Dubai's property market matured and homeowners began to think longer-term about their spaces, wallpaper made a quiet comeback — and this time, it came back with intention.
The reasons are straightforward. A beautifully executed wallpaper wall creates depth, texture, and visual interest that no painted surface can replicate. It anchors a room, gives it a sense of permanence, and signals that the space has been genuinely considered. In a city where interiors are often photographed, showcased, and expected to impress, wallpaper earns its place.
Understanding Your Options: Roll Wallpaper vs. Custom Murals
When people look for luxury wallpaper in Dubai, they are often not yet sure which category they are shopping in. There are two distinct product types, and the right choice depends on your space, your budget, and your vision.
Roll Wallpaper
Roll wallpaper — like the AdaWall collections we carry — is patterned or textured paper that tiles across your wall. It is ideal for rooms where you want consistent coverage: a bedroom, a study, a hallway. The patterns range from subtle linens and abstract geometrics to bold botanicals and maximalist prints. Because it comes in rolls, it is measured and priced per roll, and installation is a craft in itself — particularly in rooms with cornices, skirting boards, and architectural detailing.
Custom Murals
A custom mural is a single, continuous image printed to the exact dimensions of your wall. There is no repeat, no tile, no compromise — just your chosen artwork, scaled perfectly to fit. Murals are particularly powerful in living rooms, behind headboards, in lobbies, and anywhere you want a singular statement. Our Muravi print murals start from 160 AED per square metre, making bespoke art genuinely accessible.

Choosing a Style That Works for Dubai Interiors
Dubai homes have specific considerations that do not always apply elsewhere. High ceilings mean you are often working with more wall than you expect. Strong natural light — particularly in south-facing rooms — can wash out pale colours and make bold ones sing.
A few principles we return to again and again:
- Dark, rich tones read well in large rooms. In a villa salon or an open-plan living area, deep forest greens, inky blues, and warm ochres add drama without crowding the space.
- Textured wallpapers add dimension. Linen-effect, grasscloth-inspired, and embossed designs catch the light differently throughout the day.
- Florals and botanicals work in almost every context. From a nursery to a master suite to a powder room, the right botanical print brings life to a wall without ever feeling overdone.
What to Expect from Professional Wallpaper Installation
Installation is where the difference between a beautiful result and a disappointing one is made. Wallpaper, particularly luxury roll wallpaper, requires an experienced hand. Seams need to be invisible, patterns need to align, and the adhesive needs to be applied correctly to avoid bubbling or peeling over time.
At La Belle Maison, installation is part of what we do — not an afterthought. Our team handles the full process, from surface preparation to final trim, and we include professional installation free of charge on all mural orders above 15 square metres.
