Most of our murals start with our own collections or a client's inspiration image. This one started with a finished piece of artwork — created entirely by the client. Our job was to take it from a personal design into a print-ready, wall-perfect mural for her bedroom in Jumeirah 2.
The Brief
The client came to us with her own botanical design already worked out: soft grey-blue foliage, hand-drawn fruit pods, and small monkeys moving through the branches. It was fully hers — a piece she'd developed herself and wanted as a headboard-wall mural in her Jumeirah 2 home. Our role shifted from designer to technical partner: preparing her artwork for large-format print without losing the character of the original.
Adapting Original Artwork for Print
Turning a personal design into a wall-ready mural is a different job from printing an existing collection piece. We worked from her original files to check resolution and colour at full scale, rebuilt the repeat so the pattern sits correctly across the headboard wall, and colour-matched proofs against her original palette before anything went to print. The goal throughout was invisibility — the final mural should read as her design, not as an interpretation of it.
Before and After
Before: the bare headboard wall, measured and prepped ahead of install.
After: the client's own design, printed to her exact wall dimensions and installed as a full headboard feature.
The Install
As with every mural, the process started with a measurement visit to confirm exact wall dimensions, followed by production once the client approved the final print proof in writing. Installation in this Jumeirah 2 home was completed by our team in a single visit, with the wattage of the existing wall sconces worked around rather than disturbed.
